Matthew joined Galaxy in March 2022 covering South Wales and South West and has 18 years of experience within the Construction Industry, with the last 6 of these spent within the Fire Protection industry along with Dry lining and structural insulation. Thomas has over 10 years of experience within the construction industry. Ranging from manufacturing products to technical support for reverberation treatment, anti-vibration, industrial, soundproofing, impact & airborne noise.
Tim Has 16 years of experience in the insulation and the construction sector, working within distribution, manufacturing and procurement. Passionate about helping clients achieve energy-efficient and compliant construction. Tim is able to blend technical expertise, understanding of regulation and legislation together with commercial knowledge of product costs. Tim gives a unique and impartial insight into material selection.
Jodie is our branch Administrator for West Yorkshire. With years of experience in account and office management, she joined the Galaxy team in Leeds in
April 2017.
Allen joined Galaxy in May 2021, with over 30 years of experience in the Distribution and Logistics Industries.
Allen was elected to Chartered Membership of the Institute of Logistics & Transport in 2019 whilst also being a member of the Society of Operational Engineers and the Institute of Road Transport Engineers.
My role is to work with and support the Operational Teams within the network of Branches, ensuring Safety and Logistical compliance through the innovative systems developed within Galaxy.
Caro joined the GTS team in November 2021 as our Technical Project Manager. With over 25 years of working within different organisations in the construction industry, she brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to Galaxy and the technical services team. Her role involves managing the technical service enquiries and sales, as well as being the lead for project tracking to enable wider collaboration from Galaxy’s wide range of specialists to support customers with our value-add propositions.
Outside of work, she loves animals – in particular her two Great Danes (Rufus and Indy), hence her liking for Scooby-Doo.
Thor started at Galaxy at the old age of 12 weeks in September 2021. He has fitted into his role of Branch Guard Dog excellently and continues to be a good boy.
Dan has 20 years of industry experience, working in various sales-based roles within the distribution sector. He has been running successful branches for the last seven years. He joined Galaxy in 2021 to set up and establish Galaxy’s presence within the East Midlands.
Becky has been in the industry for 21 years mainly, specializing in HVAC and dry lining also looking after the major housebuilders. I made the move to Galaxy as I was ready for a new challenge and the start at a new branch was just what I needed. 8 months on and still loving it.
Mark joined Galaxy in March 2021 with a clear vision to establish the Galaxy Brand in the South West with a particular focus on Bristol. The Bristol branch opened In June 2021 with the help of a very experienced team who all have over 10 Years minimum experience.
David Jackson has been working in the construction industry since 1979, acquiring a vast wealth of knowledge and experience. Over the last 13 years, he has specialised in selling insulation and related products covering thermal, acoustic and fire-related products.
Daniel joined Galaxy in September 2020 with five years of industry experience. He brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to Galaxy Bedford.
Ben has been in the industry for over 20 years and after 17 years at his previous employer as the Trade Counter Supervisor, a welcome change was needed and Galaxy was the perfect choice for him. Ben started here just over 3 months ago and hasn’t looked back, only forward. I bring my knowledge in all areas of the industry, including ceilings, dry lining, HVAC, insulation & render.
I have been in the industry for 8 years now after spending 6 years with my previous employer covering all aspects of Insulation, Rendering, Drylining and Interiors. I have been at Galaxy now for 6 months and I am loving life here at Galaxy.
Carmen joined the Technical Services Team in October 2020 to extend coverage into the Midlands and Southern branches. She has spent the majority of her career working within distribution, along with experience in the manufacturing sector. Customer service is at the forefront of her role combined with providing quality technical services and support.
Lindy joined Galaxy in May 2021 as a Technical Services Graduate, following the completion of her BSc degree in Architectural Design and Technology at the University of Salford. She’s an asset to the internal GTS team; supporting customers by providing a range of technical services and has a passion for future-proof sustainable design.
Justine joined the Technical Services Team in March 2021 specialising in Groundwork Engineering Solutions. She has 20 years of industry experience predominantly specialising in-ground gas and waterproofing and qualified for the Certified Surveyor in Structural Waterproofing (CSSW) in March 2020 together with 7 years experience in Groundwork Engineering.
John has been working within the world of construction for 6 years and started at Galaxy in August 2020 as Business Development Manager for the North West region. His role is to expand on the existing core product ranges, specifically to Groundworkers and Civil Engineers, providing a high-quality service to our customers, including specialist technical support and value engineering where possible.
Before joining Galaxy in April 2021, Richard had 20 years of experience at a builders merchant, in both a telephone and external sales role. He is a happy, friendly and helpful person. Rich prides himself on always being honest with customers, striving to successfully deliver all materials on time and in full. Rich is a keen golfer and a fan of Everton FC.
Chris joined Galaxy in May 2021 as a Warehouse Operative with a year of previous experience working for the Northumberland County Council.
Paige joined the Galaxy team at Newcastle as branch administration at the beginning of May 2021.
Olivia joined Galaxy in Sept 2020. Olivia started her career working in accounts in Jan 2007, with prior experience within the construction industry, motor trade & manufacturing. She became an associate member of CIMA in 2014.
Rob has been in the industry for 20 years.
He joined Galaxy in August 2020 as a Partitioning Specialist to grow Partitions within the company.
Ged joined Galaxy in 2019 in the role of Merchant Sales for Yorkshire & Midlands. Ged has nearly 40 years’ experience in the Industry in both Manufacturing & Distribution.
Gary has 32 years’ experience In the industry & joined Galaxy in November 2020 as a Business Development Manager, specialising in the Dry Lining Sector.
Adrian joined Galaxy in July 2020 as Transport Manager. He has 20 years’ experience in the industry in both driving & Transport Management.
Andrew joined Galaxy in December 2019 as Stock Controller with 25 years’ industry experience.
Katerina Joined Galaxy in January 2021 as a Finance Graduate. Katerina graduated from the University of Sheffield where she was studying Accounting and Financial Management with a 2:1 in July 2020.
John brings a wealth of knowledge to our Branch and business. With over 40 years driving experience across multiple sectors. John has worked for multiple National Distributors within the Region. With a good knowledge of customers and ongoing construction projects we can guarantee our deliveries are safe in John’s hands.
Keith has been a professional driver for over 10 years throughout the North East. Always with a smile on his face and a can-do attitude, Keith is an asset to our North East team.
Daniel joined Galaxy at the start of the year, having previously worked for a National Open Cast Mining Company as a Supervisor. Although Daniel is young in age, he brings a wealth of knowledge in operations.
John began working with us in January 2021 and has 10 years industry experience. Having worked for multiple National Distributors within the Region, John brings a vast knowledge and capability to our North East Branch.
Louise is Galaxy North East’s Business Development Manager with just under 17yrs experience in the construction industry, predominately in Sales and Account Management.
Previous roles include material solutions for Temporary Protection, specialising in Flame Retardant products. In her last role, she worked widely with Site Teams consulting on Health and Safety solutions.
She’s looking forward to getting back out On Site post Covid-19 and increasing Galaxy’s profile within the North East.
Lee joined Galaxy in December 2020 with 8 years of experience in the Drylining and Interiors Sector. Six and a half years have been spent in the Distribution side of the business working for two National Dry Lining Suppliers and a year and a half with a Sub-Contractor.
Simon joined Galaxy having been involved in the Construction Industry for the last 16 years. Spending 10 years working for an Independent Construction Consumable Wholesaler followed by 6 years for National Distributors – specialising in Structural Insulation & Fire Protection. Simon’s role at Galaxy Newcastle will be to handle all aspects of Insulation and Fire Protection, offering a vast Technical and Application knowledge with a keen eye to support your Project needs.
Steve joined Galaxy Insulation & Dry Lining as Branch Director in October 2020 and has 20 years of experience within Dry Lining & Insulation Distribution, which also includes a year with a Key Dry Lining Supplier. Starting in 2001 in Industrial (Technical Solutions) Sales, moving into Dry Lining and further developing knowledge within Structural Insulation over the past 8 years, Steve has a wealth of understanding across our Trading Sectors. Very much a Salesman at heart, still loves the sense of achievement when you secure that Order!
Hassan has been involved in the partition industry for over 30 years now (he started when he was 9!). Beginning with basic partitioning in the 90’s he’s seen the industry change beyond recognition from those early days – you can imagine the level of expertise he has gained along the way. Naturally Hassan is also a dab hand at anything ceilings and the wider ceilings portfolio.
One of our original drivers when we opened Richard has been a Class 2 driver for over 4 years now. Courteous and professional to the last and a fully qualified Moffett operator. Like all of our drivers a valued member of our team here at East London Galaxy.
Dan has worked in building materials distribution in one form and another for many years. After a long stint as a Class 2 driver he decided a change was as good as a rest and now heads up our warehouse team in East London.
Glenn has been working in building materials distribution since 1999 (he started when he was 12!). He has recently joined our Galaxy East London team with a real focus on dealing with specialist contractors in the drywall and interiors sectors.
Tracey joined the Galaxy Finance team in August 2020 as a Credit Controller and is responsible for the southern branches in the Galaxy network
Allison Joined the Galaxy Finance team in October 2019, with many years industry experience Allison is a key member of the team with responsibility for the Northern branches.
A very experienced credit controller, Kay joined the Galaxy Finance team in March 2020, she has lots of industry knowledge having worked in this sector for many years. Kay looks after the Midlands region for us.
Karen has worked in administration and specifically in our industry for many years. Good administrative support is absolutely vital to the smooth running of our business and Karen’s thorough approach and eye for detail is absolutely key to the successful day-to-day running of the branch.
Jackie joined the Galaxy Family in July 2020 as the newly appointed HR Manager based at our Head Office in Sheffield. With many years in the industry she brings not only experience but also empathy to the role allowing her to support and develop the staff around the business. In June 2023, Jackie was appointed HR Director.
Becca joined the fast growing Head Office team in January 2020 to provide support to the accounts, finance and HR teams ensuring the smooth running of all departments
Kayleigh joined our Galaxy East London family in February 2020. She has been working in insulation for 12 years now and distribution for 6 of those. She brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise with a strong commitment to offering the best service possible to our customers.
The term “Man and Boy” was invented to describe Martin’s career in the interiors industry. He’s spent his entire working life within the fit-out world. Decades of experience in manufacturing, contracting and distribution stands him in good stead in heading up our London based team of interiors experts.

Paul is Operations Manager at our West Brom branch. Paul has over 15 years’ experience in the operational side of HVAC Insulation. He started out picking the materials, progressing onto leading warehouse teams and now responsible for the operational aspects of West Brom including Health and Safety. Paul’s experience gives us confidence, that our excellent customer service flows from sales through to the delivery of the goods.
Debz working life started at B & Q at the tender age of 16. She started working in the warehouse but, typical of Debz, was soon working in Transport then admin. She made the move over to insulation distribution and gained knowledge of the industrial market – picking, planning & organising transport. Debz now ensures that our customer’s orders arrive on time and in full. She’s the main reason the transport runs like clockwork at Uxbridge.
With over 30 years industry experience, Louise joined Galaxy in 2020 as an interiors specialist based at our Sheffield Branch.
With over 6 years of experience, Denise is a key part of our HVAC team in London. Working alongside Sue, Denise is passionate about offering the best possible service to our customers.
Lucy joined Galaxy as the North West Branch Assistant and has 6 years experience in an Admin role.
Yvonne joined our team in April 2017 and has over 20 years experience in the industry.
Dave has plenty of experience in Stock Control, Warehouse and Driving. With over 15 years’ experience in the industry Dave joined us in September 2016 and is responsible for Stock Control.
Trevor joined the Galaxy Team in September 2016. With over 28 years experience he is well equipped to be our Logistics Manager.
Paul has 25 years experience in Distribution. He also has experience in ceilings, dry lining and partitions. Paul joined Galaxy as our Interior Specialist.
Neil joined us in March 2017 as our Senior Sales Specialist. He previously spent 12 years Travis Perkins and has 17 years experience in construction.
Hayley joined Galaxy in September 2016, having had 10 years experience in the industry. She is our Senior Sales Specialist.
I began my career in the construction industry 16 years ago and have undertaken various roles (Internal Sales, Senior Sales Exec, Trade Counter Management, Area Sales Manager), I then joined Galaxy in July 2019 as a Business Development Manager for the North West area mostly specialising in the Interiors sector but I do have a wide variety of product knowledge across other sectors due to the long time I have spent in the industry.
Stuart joined us in November 2019 as our Business Development Manager. He previously spent 8 years at CSS NW Ltd as well as 18 years as Director at Brymas Ltd.
James joined Galaxy as a trainee in May 2014 and is now working as our External Sales Executive.
Haris joined Galaxy as a trainee in April 2018 before moving into internal sales. In January 2022 Haris was promoted to an external business development manager
Graham joined us in October 2012 and has over 20 years experience.
Dan joined us in December 2018 and has 16 years experience in the industry.
Oliver joined us in February 2020, and has a great experience in a range of roles. He spent 2 years as an HVAC National Account Manager, as well as 3 years as a Business Development Manager. Oliver also spent over 2 years as an Area Sales Executive and 3 years as Internal Sales Executive.
Helen began working for Ceilings Distribution Admin Department in October 1984, progressing through into Sales and then to Trade Counter Manager in early 2000’s. She joined our team in January 2020.
Chris previously worked at Orion Trent, Bradford in June 2005 to work in the Warehouse at 21 years of age. In 2007 he became Warehouse Manager before transferring into office role in Spring 2008. Chris then joined Belgrade Insulation in June 2017 before transferring to our Galaxy Leeds Team during the Autumn of 2017.
Jamie joined the company as a warehouse operative on 1st October 2013, then moved into the sale office on 1st May 2019.
John has vast experience prior to joining our team. Previously he joined Orion in 1991, working as a driver, before moving to sales in 1998. In August 2014 John joined our Leeds branch.
Recently promoted to the role of Assistant Branch Manager, Danny joined Galaxy in July 2019 and has over15 years experience in the industry.
Alex started with us in December 2019 and has 18 years experience in the industry.
Ryan has over 22 years of experience in the construction industry working closely with housebuilders, main contractors, subcontractors, fire protection contractors and offsite manufacturers, working in synergy to provide a wide range of technical services and support.
Lee has 27 years within the Insulation industry, 22 of which working for contractors in various functions including compliance inspections and Contracts Management. Most recently he built a career within the specialist building materials distribution, 4 of which within the fire protection sector. Lee is able to identify solutions for projects and clients, and has become the go to person for quick, reliable and compliant evaluation for suitable material supply. Emma joined the Head Office team in June 2017. Her qualifications include AAT Level 2 & 3. After spending the last year gaining experience working as the administrator at the Sheffield branch, Emma rejoined the finance team as accounts payable clerk in august 2020
Lucy joined us in June 2013 and works as an Assistant Management Accountant. Since 2016 her qualifications include Full AAT and is currently studying CIMA.
Nigel has 30 years of industry experience, 6 years of which were spent in a Main Contractors environment, achieving qualifications in Building and Construction. The majority of his experience were gained during 24 years within building materials distribution, 18 years of which have been specific to the Passive Fire Protection discipline. Nigel continuously assessed and reviewed the ever evolving standards and compliance issues to bring the best possible knowledge to all construction sectors.

Wayne is our Northern Compliance Manager and has over 25 years experience. He joined Galaxy Birmingham in March 2017.
Joining in November 2016 Tim is our Stock Controller. He has 30 years experience in the industry.

Annabelle joined our Birmingham Team in September 2019 and is our Sales Administrator.
Lee has over 18 years industry experience with both Manufacturing and Distribution businesses specialising in the HVAC market and brings a wealth of knowledge to this role.
Kerri joined the new Galaxy Birmingham Branch in January 2017 and has been a key figure establishing the branch in the region. With over 10 years of industry experience, Kerri continues to lead the business forward with an absolute focus on customer service.
Paul has a 16-year finance career with a variety of roles spanning many industries including building, retail, leisure and scientific research. Paul has extensive experience of the many facets of a finance department. With a passion for process improvement, analysis and training, he has a track record of improving a team’s capability to add value and support the wider business.
Paul has been an associate member of CIMA (Chartered Institute of Management Accountants) since 2009.
Darren joined the business at the start of 2019 with over 30 years industry experience, his initial brief involved working with the external team to create a more unified approach before taking up the commercial role towards the end of the year. Darren has a collaborative approach with the supplier base to ensure a mutually beneficial working relationship.
Bernie joined the company in 2010 and has been an integral part of our growth and success over that period. She is qualified through the Association of Accounting Technicians for over 5 years and is currently working with the team at our Head office in Sheffield who look after our growing network of branches.
Jon joined Galaxy in 2016 leading the team that opened the new Haydock Branch. He is vastly experienced and brings a great energy to the management team as the business continues to develop into new exciting markets.
Sarah joined the Galaxy business in 2009 as part of the finance team which serviced the 2 original branches. The key finance figure in the MBO Sarah continues to work closely with the branch directors to ensure best practice in the evolving business.
With over 20 years Industry experience Bill joined Galaxy in October 2019 to establish a footprint in East London – Bill brings a wealth of energy and knowledge to the role with a key focus of providing a high level of customer service across the business.
Andrew joined Galaxy Sheffield in 2009 as part of the original management team. He became Branch Director in 2017 and was a key member of the MBO team the following year.
Dave relocated from London in January 2019 to join the team at Galaxy Birmingham. With over 20 years industry experience Dave is well placed to lead the business forward, developing the staff and meeting the challenges in the market.
Lester was a key member of the original Galaxy Sheffield business which opened in 2009. Lester has over 30 years industry experience and has a key role as Director.
When we talk about HVAC insulation in the south there really is only one person to call. With many years of experience in this specialist field she has built up a host of relationships whether they be supplier or customer. She might not thank us for saying it but she really is the ultimate expert in all things HVAC!
Steve is another expert in his chosen field – in his case masonry support & brickwork. Another Galaxy London original Steve has been managing accounts and providing competitive solutions to his customers for well over 15 years. If you’re looking for first class advice Steve is your man.
Sanjay joined Galaxy in October 2019 with a clear vision to establish the Galaxy Brand in the south east with particular focus on London. Sanjay opened the East and West London Branches in January 2020 and is now the Managing Director for the South Region.
Paul is another colleague who has well over 20 years of experience. Structural insulation, Drywall and even ceilings distribution – there’s not a lot he hasn’t done. As well as being our Sales manager at Uxbridge he also looks after our stock. Paul is professional, thorough and utterly unflappable.
Neil has been working in building materials distribution for over 20 years. Part of the original team that introduced Galaxy to London his main focus is to ensure Uxbridge delivers unrivalled service to the South East.
With more years in the industry than he cares to remember (he’s asked us not too be to specific!) Michael is one of the industry leading experts in roofing insulation. More recently he has concentrated on the cladding/facades market and brings a wealth of knowledge to what is an important sector for us here at Galaxy London. If you require sound advice on cladding/facades/roofing systems then Michael is your man.
James has a well deserved & excellent reputation in the masonry & brickwork market. Whether it be offering cost effective solutions or managing projects to ensure a one stop shop – making the process of ordering materials for our customers as smooth as is possible. James has 10 years of experience and was one of the first of our team to join Galaxy to establish our presence in London and we’re very pleased he did.
Steve has been in distribution for nearly 15 years, always within Technical Sales and predominently on Tenon Partitions working from large scale drawings to provide component parts for Aluminium Partitioning Systems.
Steve joined Galaxy in January 2020 to manage the specialist interiors business for London covering partitioning, suspended ceilings, doors and joinery, ironmongery, folding operable walls, raised access flooring, washroom systems, acoustic and more……
Paula is another one of our Galaxy London pioneers! She joined us in October 2019 and has been central in the growth of the business since. Paula has been working in insulation distribution since 2005.
Mandy moved to Galaxy East London in October 2019 as one of our very first team members and, with her unending energy, has been key in the success we’ve experienced to date. After a long career in sales management Mandy decided to try her hand at transport and we’re very pleased she did.
Keith joined our Midlands Branch in January 2020 and has 35 years experience in the industry. He is our Dry Lining Specialist.
Joe joined our team in March 2017 and has 5 years experience in the industry.
John started at Ceilings Distribution in 1993 working in transport & warehouse. He moved into the sales office in 1995 working in internal & external sales roles. From there he became the Sales Office Manager from 2004-2017 and then the Branch Manager from 2017-2019, before moving to Galaxy in January 2020.
Bujar started in General Sales (Ceilings & Dry Lining), moving into Tenon Partitioning as Sales Manager in 2008. He then became a member of our team on 2nd December 2019.
Richard Cooper joined Galaxy Leeds when it opened in 2009. Richard works closely with Martyn at the Leeds branch with a focus on sales. He is also a key member of the group logistics team.
Adam has a total of eleven years in the Insulation Distribution Industry, with a further 2 years as a Trainee Quantity Surveyor. Adam joined Galaxy Leeds in September 2018.
Martyn joined Galaxy Leeds as a shareholding Director when the business opened in 2009. He has responsibility for the branch on a day to day basis.
Aiden has 15 years’ experience in insulation & dry lining distribution. Aiden’s expertise are account management and the specialist dry lining sector. Aiden joined Galaxy in January 2017.
Steven has 16 years of industry experience working in technical roles in the construction industry. He has an in-depth knowledge of thermal, acoustic, passive fire protection and dry lining in all sectors. Steven is specialised in helping customers find compliant, available and cost-effective solutions. Steven manages a team of construction specialists who support customers from design, throughout the building to completion. He possesses high levels of knowledge on SAP, building acoustics, building regulations, standards, building control and insurance. Steven is the founder and co-chair of the Offsite Alliance – Technical Committee and also worked on the STA Committee on Building Boards.
Ross is a qualified OCDEA assessor & has a BA (Hons) degree in Architecture from the University of Liverpool. Ross is our Technical Services Manager and with over 8 years’ experience in the construction industry he works closely with residential customers to provide SAP calculations and specifications from design stage through to As Built EPC.
He also produces U-value thermal calculations including condensation risk analysis, across housing, commercial, timber frame, offsite and refurbishment markets. Ross specialises in providing cost-effective & compliant solutions, with all aspects of insulation (thermal, acoustic and fire) considered; associated with the cost and availability of an extensive range of construction materials supplied by Galaxy.
Richard joined Galaxy in 2016 as MD of the new businesses in Birmingham and Haydock. Following the MBO he moved into the operational role and has been instrumental in recruitment and securing property for the London branches which opened January 2020.
Tracy was one of the original three holding company directors who established the Galaxy business in 2009 at Sheffield and Leeds. With many years industry experience Tracy led the management buyout in 2018 which has allowed the business to develop into new exciting locations and markets.
